Google Announces New Nexus 7 | Video

Google just announced the new Nexus 7 in the press event. With the power of Google’s Android and performing hardware, the original Nexus 7 was a super-hit as mentioned in the Google Press Event.

The new Nexus 7 is pretty good in dimensions as compared with the previous version and is very much improved. The new Nexus 7 is 50 grams lighter than the original Nexus 7. It inherits the 7inch screen but packs more quality with High Quality display of resolution 1920 x 1200 pixels. So, you get 1080p true HD screen out of the box.

New Nexus 7 is World’s highest resolution tablet and have the highest  DPI as announced in the event. The display is made gorgeous and texts and images look more sharper now. Now the images and videos are displayed more accurately and vivid.

The new Nexus 7 comes with Dual Stereo Speakers and Virtual Sound Surround Track. The tablet now has a rear camera of 5MP and a front camera of 1.2MP for video calling.

The tablet now is much more powerful in terms of performance and endurance. It has got 1.5GHz Quadcore Snapdragon S4 processor which is about 80% faster than the previous Nexus tablet. The processor is now 1.8x faster while the GPU is 1.4x faster than original Nexus tablet. It has got 2GB of RAM with satisfying connectivity option including Bluetooth Smart and 4G LTE.

With Bluetooth Smart, you can connect to Bluetooth enabled devices and get the response on your tablet. Apart from this, the tablet has NFC and also supports Wireless Charging.

Coming to the battery backup, it now gives 1 Extra Hour Power compared to previous Nexus 7 tablet, with 9 hours of HD Video Playback and 10 hours of Web Browsing.

Apart from all these specifications, it is the first ever device to ship with Android 4.3 update. The pricing is yet to be disclosed.

UPDATE : The new Nexus 7 will cost $229 and will be available in US from July 30th onwards.
