Google released Android 5.0 “Lollipop” a few days back along with Nexus 6. The update is huge in terms of design as Google introduced Material design in Lollipop which brings a beautiful interface and animations to Android. Apart from the new design, there are some new features like Device Sharing, Android Beam and improvements in Lollipop.
There’s also a new lockscreen in Lollipop which also shows your notifications. You can open the notification right from the lockscreen or you can swipe it to clear the notification. Swiping down expands the notifications. There’s also a new Status bar. Swiping down once on the Status bar shows all the notifications, swiping down twice shows toggles and quick links to Settings.
Android 5.0 comes with Google Now Launcher which was also available before the release of Lollipop and there’s no significant changes in the launcher apart from the addition of new set of wallpapers. Android 5.0 is currently available for Nexus phones only, but you can also have Android Lollipop wallpapers on your phone.
